About: Melissa Lafond is a Certified Paramedical Technician, working out of her professional Downtown Kelowna studio offering cosmetic and medical tattoo artistry, scar camouflage and Scalp MIcropigmentation. She began her career specializing in Scalp Micro-Pigmentation (SMP) and Scar camouflage with her first business Advanced Technique Paramedical Clinic in February 2015. Slowly the requests came pouring in for the need for more cosmetic services and Covet Artistry was born.
Melissa was the first Microblade artist in Kelowna at the time. Her business and education has continued to evolve and change with the industry.
History: Melissa was previously a professional mixed media artist with many privately commissioned sales, with work on display in local art galleries and business’s. Cosmetic tattoo artistry was a welcome and easy transition.
Interest’s: When she is not in the studio working with skin, you will find her spending time with her young family enjoying all the Okanagan has to offer. She loves being active and spending time in the great outdoors. Wakesurfing, cruising the railtrail, rollerskaing in the summer and hitting the local ski hills in the winter. Gardening, singing and playing music, as well as checking out the local thrift stores are some of her favourite past times.
